Teaching
The Areas of Knowledge that make up the Department of Mining Exploitation and Prospecting teach in several centers and degrees of the University of Oviedo. Regarding studies adapted to the Royal Decree 1393/2007, which structures the studies in degrees and masters, teaching is given in the following centers:
- Escuela de Ingeniería Minera, Energética y de Materiales (former Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas de Oviedo, ETSIMO).
- Escuela Politécnica de Mieres
- Escuela Politécnica de Gijón
- Facultad de Biología
- Facultad de Química
- Escuela de la Marina Civil

- Máster universitario en Biotecnología del Medio Ambiente y la Salud (MBEH)
The Department teaches in other programs such as the Master of Mining Geomechanics, which is taught in Peru.
